New to the Industry
No prior beauty or clinical training. Starting completely fresh.
Beauty Therapist / Cert IV+
Currently working in beauty. Certificate IV or above already held.
Nurse or Healthcare Professional
AHPRA registered or allied health background.

Three Entry Streams
Your Pathway to Becoming an Accredited Electrologist
Stream 1 — New to Industry
No prior experience required. This is your complete entry pathway into the electrolysis profession — combining three foundation units with your full SHBBHRS013 qualification, face-to-face practical training and a supervised clinical logbook.
Your Program — Step by Step
SHBBINF002, SHBBSSC001, SHBBSSC002 — infection control, skin structure and body structure. Self-paced online theory with quizzes and knowledge activities.
Self-paced learner guide, weekly flexible Zoom sessions with Kelly, knowledge activities and quizzes. Approx. 60 hours total online study across all units.
Hands-on clinical training at a Dermaskin Academy location. Maximum 6 students. Kelly delivers every session. Full practical sign-off for all units.
Supervised clinical electrolysis practice with real clients. Completed at your own clinic or space. Kelly reviews your logbook throughout via Thinkific with ongoing feedback.
Written and knowledge assessments for all 4 units completed online. Skills and practical assessments completed face-to-face and online.

Stream 2 — Beauty Therapist / Cert IV+
Already qualified? Your Certificate IV or higher in Beauty Therapy means you can move straight into SHBBHRS013 with a streamlined program that builds on your existing expertise.
Your Program — Step by Step
Self-paced learner guide, weekly flexible Zoom sessions with Kelly, knowledge activities and quizzes. Approx. 30 hours online theory.
Focused on electrolysis-specific technique — probe insertion, patch test and treatment delivery. Maximum 6 students. Kelly delivers every session.
Supervised clinical electrolysis practice with real clients at your own clinic or space. Kelly reviews via Thinkific with ongoing feedback throughout.

Stream 3 — Nurse and Healthcare Professional
AHPRA-registered nurses and allied health professionals bring exceptional clinical knowledge to electrolysis training. Your clinical background makes this a focused, condensed pathway targeting only the electrolysis-specific knowledge and skills that are new to you.
Your Program — Step by Step
Electrolysis modalities, current physics, probe selection and state and territory skin penetration regulations. Self-paced with weekly flexible Zoom sessions with Kelly.
Your procedural clinical skills transfer strongly to probe technique. Maximum 6 students. Kelly delivers every session.
Supervised electrolysis practice documented in your own clinical setting. Kelly reviews via Thinkific with ongoing feedback throughout.
