Dermaskin Academy offers three entry streams into nationally recognised electrolysis training — designed for where you are right now, and built to take you where you want to go.

Each stream has its own program structure and timeline. All lead to the same nationally recognised unit and Statement of Attainment.
New to the Industry
No prior beauty or clinical training. Starting completely fresh.
Beauty Therapist / Cert IV+
Currently working in beauty. Certificate IV or above already held.
Nurse or Healthcare Professional
AHPRA registered or allied health background.

Three Entry Streams
Your Pathway to Becoming an Accredited Electrologist
Stream 1 — New to Industry
Blended delivery made up of online theory, live Zoom sessions with Kelly, 3 days of face-to-face practical training, a recorded clinical logbook and nationally recognised assessments. Includes three prerequisite units completed online through Parramatta Community College.
Your Program — Step by Step
SHBBINF002, SHBBSSC001, SHBBSSC002 - infection control, skin structure and body structure. Completed fully online at your own pace through Parramatta Community College's learning platform and submitted there. They must be finished before your final SHBBHRS013 sign-off, but not before your practical days.
Self-paced learner guide, knowledge activities and quizzes plus live Tuesday Zoom sessions with Kelly. Kelly's weekly Q&A Zoom is also available as optional extra support.
Hands-on clinical training at a Dermaskin Academy location. Maximum 6 students. A Nationally Accredited Trainer and Assessor delivers every session. Full practical sign-off for all units.
Real client treatments at your own clinic or space, each recorded with a consultation record, before and after photos and treatment video. Kelly reviews every entry via the Dermaskin Learning Platform with ongoing feedback.
Written and knowledge assessments for all 4 units are completed online. Practical skills are assessed face-to-face during your 3-day practical, and Kelly reviews your recorded clinical logbook.

Stream 2 — Beauty Therapist / Cert IV+

Stream 3 — Nurse and Healthcare Professional
