Already working with electrolysis — or you have had prior training and want to come back to it with fresh eyes and sharper technique? This one-day intensive is designed for practitioners who know the basics and are ready to go deeper.
This is not a beginner's introduction and it is not the accredited SHBBHRS013 qualification. It is a focused, hands-on day with Kelly Dermody — Nationally Accredited Trainer and Assessor, ABIC Senior Endorsed Educator — the same trainer, the same environment and the same standard of teaching as the full accredited course, built specifically for experienced practitioners who want to upskill or refresh.
With over 30 years of clinical and teaching experience. Maximum 6 participants per session. Every attendee receives direct hands-on attention.
What the Day Covers
The day is split equally between theory review and hands-on practical work. You will leave with sharper technique, greater clinical confidence and clear answers to the questions that have been building in your practice.
Morning — Theory and Clinical Review
- Hair growth cycles and their impact on treatment efficacy
- Modality selection — galvanic, thermolysis and blend, and when to use each
- Reading follicle depth, angle and hair type before treatment
- Managing difficult cases — distorted follicles, curved hair, vellus hair
- Contraindication review and updated skin penetration compliance
- Infection control refresher to current NSW Health — Public Health Regulation 2022 standards
Afternoon — Hands-On Practical
- Supervised practical technique on live models
- Probe selection and sizing for different follicle types
- Insertion technique refinement — angle, depth and current calibration
- Machine settings and modality switching in real treatment scenarios
- Skin reaction assessment and post-treatment management
- Open Q&A with Kelly — bring your most challenging clinical cases
