WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

-The structure of the skin — epidermis, dermis and hypodermis — and the function of each layer
-Skin cell types — keratinocytes, melanocytes, Langerhans cells and their roles
-Hair follicle anatomy, sebaceous glands, sweat glands and arrector pili muscle
-Skin types and conditions — oily, dry, sensitive, combination, dehydrated
-Common skin disorders and diseases relevant to beauty therapy
-How to use skin anatomy knowledge to assess and analyse client needs
-How to design treatment programs that consider skin structure and function
-How to select appropriate products and treatment routines based on skin analysis
-How to advise clients on skin health, maintenance and homecare
-Recording and maintaining accurate client skin assessment data
